I currently use the commuter lot at Potomic Mills. On Feb 14 (Happy V-day!) the number of designated parking spots is being reduced from 1,000 to 275. I currently get there around 6-6:15 & slug to Rosslyn. I am sure I would still be able to get a spot to park but I have concerns about getting a ride home. I think I am going to start going to Horner Rd to slug.

What do you plan on doing if you currently use the Pomotic Mills commuter lot?

I got some e-mail from the e-slug mailing list stating there was a town hall meeting about it. It might have been last night. Unfortunately I deleted the e-mail.

I think many people will be going to the Horner Road lot which is already very full.

I just looked at a handout I got this morning. A Town Hall meeting is scheduled for Feb 9/7pm at Ferlazzo Auditorium in Woodbridge.

There is also a commuter lot on Price William Pkwy right by Potomac Mills. I just don't understand why they would reduce the number of lots so drastically.

The reason for the reduction is that Potomac Mills has plans to expand and they'll need the spaces. Potomac Mills has actually been very generous in allowing commuters to use their lot for a number of years.

There is the Telegraph/Prince William Parkway lot. Also there is a lot on the corner of Oldbridge/Minnieville. There is another lot on Minnieville/Harbor Drive, but I don't see many cars there at all. Maybe that is a "spill over" lot?
