We live in Stafford and have heard it all day long today, you get used to after awhile and really don't notice it.

Guess I was more referring to those in Alexandria. Woodbridge could be closer depending on where they are.

I'm in Burke/Fairfax and my 2yo and I heard it while walking the dog this afternoon.

I am feeling it here in Lake Ridge today and it is really powerful at times, enough to shake the house.

I am not certain this is from Quantico, because it sounds as if its coming from across the Occoquan River, at the Vulcan quarry possibly?

Regardless, it's really irritating and my dogs don't like it at all.

I am pretty sure it is Quantico, they are doing explosive munitions training from 6 a.m. thru 11 p.m today, they say the noise could continue through the 6th due to the training exercises.

You'll never hear the same amount of explosions at a quarry compared to Quantico. If it's a regular sound during the day then it's Quantico. If it's once or twice a day then it could be a quarry.
