Hello, we are in need of having wood floors refinished in Fairfax County. I've looked through previous posts already. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Hatcher's Floors in Springfield (Hatcher's Floors, Inc. - Springfield, VA). They're great, and they made Washingtonian's list of recommended contractors.

We went with AG Floors in Rockville, Maryland and they did a fantastic job; wood floors look amazing. Great service and hard working.

One of my neighbors used Nacho Floor Service: (703) 971-2536, (located in Alexandria) and she is very happy with the outcome.

My neighbor had her's done before she moved in to the house so furniture and dust etc was not a problem. For those who were in the house when you had it done, how much of an issue was that? Our mail level TH is hard wood so I assume all of the furniture would need to be moved to one area while they work and than shifted to the completed area etc.. I need to get my floors down but I do dread that..

I am interested in this as well, we are buying a house with 3K sqft of wood floor on main level. We would like to have the floors refinished before moving in.

$1.85 per sq ft to refinish the wood floors. We had the work done before moving into our home. AG did a great job of sealing off upstairs and kitchen cabinets. No dust. Dust in areas where sanding occured of course. Not on floors, but walls and windows of rooms worked.
