Or was that "New York"?

No, no, no you're thinking of "Vienna waits for you"

Can't forget the problem of running out of names. We're already reduced to names like Sparkleberry Court, for Pete's sake!

I actually had no idea there was such a song. Missed that one completely.

No, now I remember. It was "Beltway Girl" (...."you've been living in your kim-chi world").

Seriously, though, I think the folks in Richmond and Hampton Roads, for better or worse, think of NoVa as a distinct part of the state, so we might as well do so, too. You could rename Jefferson Davis Highway up here if people felt strongly enough about it, and the dead Generals would still stand tall on Monument Avenue.

Any more Billy Joel references and I'll just have to abandon this thread!

This all seems such a waste of time.

If that's what you're all about, good luck movin' up 'cause I'm movin' out.

Well, it's no big sin to stick your two cents in
If you know when to leave it alone
But you went over the line....

It may have been un-PC. It may have been an unfortunate coincidence. It may have been in poor taste, even. But it was anything but inappropriate.
