Just learned from the news that a worker in Leesburg Kiddie Academy (the one on Sycolin Road) was charged with Child cruelty, neglect and failure to report an injury to Child Protective Service. Obviously, a six-week old infant was injured under her care. The news did not have much details but did say she allowed the injury to happen.

I thought of you when I heard this on the news last night. Did you ever decide on a place for your DC?

Thank you for thinking of me. I am more inclined to choose Leesburg Montessori now. The Kiddie Academy news scared me. Their facility really left me with good impression. Hopefully, it was just one isolated incident.

Stay away from Goddard in Leesburg! The owner only cares about money. Not only did I work there, but my son attended as well. My son was always sick with Hand Foot and Mouth, Pink Eye, Strep, RSV, and Ear Infections because we were not properly notified of illness at the center, as well as the center not being cleaned properly. Also, my son was allowed to attend when he had those illnesses as well because they needed me to work.

The director is not qualified, she used to be a teacher, but she does what she is told. They are very dishonest, and its really sad because Goddard has a great program. The Goddard in Ashburn is wonderful, the owner and director care about the kids, not just the money, and they only hire degreed teachers, they don't outsource from the Phillipines!
