Hmmm... the more I think about it, I'm not sure Kingstowne needs any more variety in fast and fast casual places. Off the top of my head, they already have:

Roy Rogers
Boardwalk Fries/Burgers
Panera
Noodles and Co.
Baja Fresh
Chipotle
BK
Firehouse Subs
KFC/Taco Bell
Dairy Queen
Subway

There was a Wawa (which incidentally functioned as my first significant dose of Mid-Atlantic flava after moving to DC in '06) in College Park, MD, but no longer.. IIRC there was too much vandalism - by UMD undergrads, no less!

A Little Ceasar's just opened in Woodbridge a few months ago--haven't tried it yet. Checkers has been here for awhile but I don't think its that great.

As for those DC food trucks, I think that is SUCH a good idea. Had my first experience with them last week. There was a 45 minute wait for the Red Hook Lobster truck. I got some cupcakes that were to die for...

There's going to be another Wawa in Beltsville, just over the College Park line. It looks like it's almost ready to open up.

There's plenty of them in MD and I've seen some of them in NoVA. There's one in Manassas and one in Alexandria (FFX Co, on Route 1). Heck even DC got a few.

THANK YOU OP!!! I thought I was the only one who thought this area had relatively few fast food options. Some days you need something quick and don't really have time to get out of the car, wait in line, etc, so it would be good to have a little more variety for quick/drive-thru places. This place has WAYYYYY too many McDonald's. There are about 5 within a ONE MILE RADIUS of my house and that's nuts!

I'd love to see a Sonic, Checkers, a CHICK FIL-A (for the love of GOD, can I get one near Kingstowne ugh!!), drive-thru Arby's, and a COOK OUT <---that would be PHENOMENAL! omnomnom!

Not enough fast food? I think there is too many. I pass by a McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell/Pizza Hut, Dunkin Donuts on the way to work. I stopped by a Chic Filet this morning that was a little out of the way, but I like their breakfast foods better.

More fast foods means higher airline prices since they'll have to modify the seats in the planes to acommodate people's fat asses
