Default KK's Temptation: Thoughts from Manassas Residents

I keep hearing about the controversy over this store and then last week I read this ridiculous story.

My question for those who live in the Manassas area or even knows about the area, what are your thoughts on the store? Do you think they are worth the time and money that is being wasted in trying to hurt their business?

Maybe the gripe is a wet t-shirt contest shows off the wrong part of the anatomy? I mean, the town is named Man-asses, after all...

Haha Caladium!! Love it.
I am not sure how I feel about the wet t-shirt contest. Although it is for a good cause, it seems to be the wrong way to go about it. I just don't see Manassas as being like a huge party scene, lol. Plus, whenever I think of a wet t-shirt contest, i think of spring break on MTV stuff. But I wonder if it was ever given the OK, if it would be a big hit.

The Backyard Grill on Sudley doesn't get much business - at least it didn't when I was there a few times, it wasn't hoppin' or anything. I can't imagine a bikini contest being held there when not a lot of patrons go there? I could see Hooters working out as a venue, but...hahaha

If they were going to make sure everyone was "covered up" beneath the wet T shirt, what's the point?

Personally, I don't care what most do as long as it isn't a requirement that I have to join in or participate. Backyard Grill actually does pull in a lot of business on certain nights - especially in the summertime when they have Texas Hold 'Em nights. The only reason I know this is that my husband used to go to the poker games and they were always full. After 10pm on a Monday night and the regulars were coming in for drinks. I went with him once to hang out and couldn't believe the crowd it attracted.

I think folks spend a lot of time worrying or concerning themselves with what everyone else is doing...seems like a waste to me....

You see folks with the 'save the ta ta's' stickers on their vehicles....hey, that money went to charity.

Although, since it's Manassas I might draw the line at a Lorena Bobit competition. Men: you don't want to get drunk and sign up for that one!

Wow, after all these years that story still finds a way to rear its ugly head. (No pun intended...or...was it?)

You know....back in the 90s when that all went down I worked at Weis Markets in Centreville right next to the Nail Sculptor where Lorena Bobbit worked. She got a salad to eat every day! Yes, that is my little claim to fame....well, so much for that!

I can top this. I was working the night Lorena did her slice and dice to John. Not a pretty scene.
