Yes, and I think it may have a future as an adjective as well. That place is so Metro...

I think around here, "Yuse" is more common. My born and/or raised here kids say y'all but as a Californian I find it a bit too Jed Clampett.

I've lived here for nine years. Its pretty good in Nova. People here are friendly.. very diverse. Schools here are good. Fairfax County is the 10th biggest in the nation. Has a low crime rate in Fairfax County but people say the Woodbridge area (PW County) isnt that great. Also Nova's very rich. Loudon County's the richest county in America, Fairfax is 3rd and some others are also in the top ten. Nova is not snobby or anything at all like some people say just because we have money. As for Southern VA... I dont know much. Dont really go down there much. The people there are basically like every other state, kind with some rude people

Food: Corn Pudding (southern VA dish..never had it until I moved to VA..yummy) and Virgina HAM's
Diversity: A lot of interracial couples. Started in slavery. See the Love Documentary on HBO too.
People from all over the world!
Judicial system known for being very tough.
NOVA known for having VERY good schools.

Great place this Northern Virginia, realistically, from Fredericksburg west to Warrenton could be it's own state as compared to the rest of the Old Dominion. That being said, what is the Largest incorporated city in the Commonwealth? Virginia Beach. Not only that 8 of the top 10 are in Southern VA, but there 8 million people in VA 2.5 mil in the NOVA area, that is 30 % in 5 counties less that 40 miles apart. In short, NOVA is Virginia's NYC. there are a lot of cities in NY State, however the state goes as NYC goes. There are a lot of places in VA, but the state goes as NOVA goes.

Granted, I'm placing this in the Northern Virginia section. There does seem to be a distinct difference between Northern Virginia and the rest of the state.

However, you're still all Virginians...so feel free to define yourself however you want to define yourself within the context of your state, any way you'd like to.

So, what is Virginia known for? What are some characteristics of Virginians?
Virginians are universally tall, well-built, attractive, intelligent, and well mannered.
