So, I'm strolling through the Ballston Mall, minding my own business, and once again I see it:
People sitting in dental chairs--their heads wrenched backwards--with some young woman hovering over them, furiously flossing their eyebrows off!

Who wants to see that in the middle of the mall?
Am I the only one who thinks it's just plain icky??

I once saw a man flossing his teeth while waiting for a Metro train. That was ickier.

A place at Fair Oaks Mall does eyebrow threading. They don't do it in the middle of the mall though.

I've never even heard of this before. I asked my wife and she had no clue either.
I'm still not sure I understand what it is.

I can handle the eyebrow kiosks but you'd never catch me getting my teeth whitened right in the middle of the main walkway. There is no way I would sit in a public area wearing one of the whitening mask/tray thingies. Not with thousands of people walking by with camera phones. You just know someone's going to post a photo of you on the internet.

The eyebrow threading is very popular. Most of the malls that had it in kiosks are now getting their own "stores." I guess they do *that* well now, they can afford the rent on a store.

That said, I wouldn't sit in the middle of the mall and get threaded.
