I am with the Vietnam Vets / Legacy Vets MC. I can believe the police escort. We have been escorted a bunch whether we requested it or not. LOL

I've been to Rolling Thunder a few times at the Pentagon parking lot. That was years ago, but it was like going to a music festival or something -- since Pentagon parking lot was their staging area, there was a ton of stuff to do and see there before they all took off. I have not been since 9/11, though. Is that still the assembling area? Do they still let people there?

This is the first year they are doing it so I don't know.

There is also a Bug Out at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas on Sunday. It's the largest VW event on the east coast:

Old Dominion Dragstrip Special Events (http://www.olddominionspeedway.com/OD_Dragstrip_Special_Events.html - broken link)

BugOut : East Coast's Premier VW Volkswagen Show : VW Enthusiast Heaven!

We go to the strawberry festival every year. The kids have a great time because of all the games (sack races, tug o' war, three-legged races, etc.) and the food.

This year we are going to the Hunt Country stable tour as well, but we've never been before.

The Marine Corps Band will be putting on a free concert this Sunday to kick off the summer season at Wolftrap. Bring a picnic for before the show and stay after the concert to enjoy the fireworks. This is a popular event, so plan to arrive early if you're driving (they have lots of buses to it, too).

Viva Vienna - Vienna's annual fair - is this weekend. We'll be there as long as it isn't way too hot. Actually, I'm sure we'll be there anyway.
