Thanks for all your answers. We plan to stay with his parents near Germantown MD for a while and take our time to find the best fit for us. I remembered that we rushed into buying our first house 4 years when he relocated to Norfolk. But it was very different back then. We had no room and no time to negociate. I hope it will be different now.
