I'll start it off:

Fairfax - At where Wayne's Wholesale Nursery currently stands (Lee Highway and Shirley Gate Road), what stood that area during the 1940's?

Annandale - Where is the location of the former Oliver Farm and when was it active?

Anyone who would like to join in and post their own trivia for the two areas, feel free

I've got one:

Gallows Road. Did it get that name because:

a) They use hang people there.

b) The land was owned by the Gallow family.

c) That's where Ernest and Julio Gallow used to go to get drunk before they headed off to fight in the Civil War.

Also:

True or False, did Backlick Road get its name to honor all those people who come to DC to kiss a little butt, but then can't stoop low enough?

If false.... what is the correct answer?

LOL I suspect the real story about Backlick Road is much saltier than that.

Correct-a-mundo Kembek! These days it's where you can get really hung up in traffic.... and then you wish you could send a few other drivers to the gallows.
