Does anyone have a recommendation for good delivery pizza in Cascades? I really like Slice of Italy but would like some other places to try as well.

Thanks!

Actually, as weird as it may sound I've never had pizza delivered. If it helps, one place that I like to eat at is Carmine's in Great Falls Plaza (intersection of Lowes Island Blvd. and Algonkian Parkway). The websites says they do carry out, but I haven't tried it. There's another place I like in Cascades Marketplace, but I can't remember the name of it. It might be Don's or something like that. It's near Robeks, and the delivery car has a "mafia guy with gun" painting on the back window. If you've seen this car you know which one I mean.

Jimmy's NY Pizza isn't in Cascades, but it gets good reviews. It's in Sterling Park and delivers. There's also a place called Delia's which I haven't tried but I've heard good things about.

The Don's Wood-Fired Pizza. It's good. No delivery, though, unfortunately.

It's so much trouble schlepping around the kids to pick up dinner, I try to find places that will save me the grief.

Hopefully someone else will chime in with suggestions. I never get food delivered. You think I would know these things though for all the time I've lived here.

The delivery of food is one of the greatest inventions known to man.

We like Vocelli's. Countryside Plaza by theater. They deliver. Also had Delias. Also good. Not sure about delivery. Same plaza...opposite end.

I've had Delia's and it's pretty good. Never cared much for Vocelli's -- they don't have good crust. (They tend to undercook their pizza, like Domino's.)

The best delivery pizza you're likely to get anywhere is maybe a 60 on a scale of 100. But the worst is probably a 50. Considering that they bring it to you and you can probably get bread stix or chicken wings or something else with it, what's to quibble over. You want good pizza, pop across Chain Bridge and sit down at 2 Amy's. You want a kid-friendly and adult-edible meal to show up on your doorstep, call anybody.

I disagree. I think there's a significant difference between what you'll get from a place like Papa John's and what you'll get from Paisano's or Slice of Italy (to use local examples).

But if you have any restaurants to recommend, please share.

Our favorite is Lucia's, but we stop by & pick it up due to the $20 min delivery. We also like Vocelli's and resort to Pizza Hut occasionally. Love Carmine's for everything but their pizza. Not a fan of Papa Johns at all.
