What a generous offer. Thank you. I actually enjoy cooking so when I got out to eat, I have high standards.

The Cedar Café (Lebanese) in Burke is awesome, and very solo-diner friendly (solo-vegetarian-diner friendly, even). I ate there once and tried to go back months later but they were apparently closed/had relocated. Looks like they're back, and with a snazzy web site, to boot!

The Mediterranean Bakery on S. Pickett St in Alexandria is a wonderful grocery that also has a cafe.

Not a restaurant, but there is a Greek Orthodox Church in McLean that has a big 3-day Middle Eastern Food Festival every Labor Day Weekend.

Layalina in Arlington (On Wilson near George Mason). A great place to take the wife for a date. It's a family-run restaurant and the food is fabulous.

Don't forget the Lebanese Taverna in Tyson's Corner. One of my faves. Also to be found in Baltimore, Betheda, Arlington, WashDC, and Pentagon Row.
