Horrendously slow and congested on Tuesday (around 11 a.m.) -- is it just getting the drivers who don't want to deal with the Beltway-to-I66 route? (Although traffic on the Beltway going toward Tysons looked to be moving briskly when I glanced at it near the Annandale interchange.).

236 was frustrating when I went out to Chantilly a couple of weeks ago, too.

Any of you drive that road? Is it routinely busy and slow now? It used to be a smooth ride out to Fair Oaks and beyond ...

Tuesday around 11 am was around when school finished up for the year for Woodson HS on 236, and Frost MS just behind 236. Maybe that was part of it?

Although I had a grooming appt for my dog in Fairfax one day a couple weeks ago, and it took me an hour to get from Braddock Road at the beltway to 236 in Fairfax around 9:30. It was CONGESTED!
