Does the Ashburn Farm area have any South Asian families?

My kids want to go to school with a LOT of Asian students. I am not sure if Sanders Corner and Belmont Ridge have any Asian students. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

You can find demographic information at Greatschools. First enter the school's name at the top right, then click the school's name.

Next, select the Test Scores & Stats tab, click on Teachers & Students, then click Students. The school's ethnicity makeup will be detailed there.

By South Asian - do you mean Indian families or what?? I've never heard of someone specifying which broad directional region of Asians they're trying to move near, usually just Asians or somewhere culturally diverse in general.

For what it's worth - I'm in Ashburn Village (the neighboring development) and think we have a pretty diverse neighborhood; it does seem like the predominant group is Indian families, but we have households that seem to cover every background.

?
Is your family Asian?

Otherwise, it makes the Asian kids [that your kids want to be in school with] sound, oh I don't know, like a novelty.

Just out of curiosity, how old are your kids, and why the preference for a LOT (and not an average mix) of Asian students? Anyway, Loudoun Valley (Toll Brothers' housing community) has a lot of Indians... ...South Indians to be precise.

I did ask my kids why they wanted to study in a school full of Asians? They said they admired the study and homework habits of the Asian students. It inspired them to study harder and turn in their homework promptly. Respect for the teachers was another big factor. When you respect your teacher, it brings out the best.

Kutra,
Thanks for the message. Please see my response above - I think I answered your question.
Yes - I am aware of Loudoun Valley. Rosa Lee Carter is the elementary school. However, which middle school serves Loudoun Valley?

I admit to not knowing Ashburn Farm or any of the other communities particularly well, but I believe it's in an area where the schools are well-regarded and the majority of students, no matter what their ethnicity, are motivated by themselves and their parents. Your kids should rest assured that they will receive a quality education in Loudoun County.

We are currently in Hampton Roads (York Co. school district) and have found the same to be true of Asian families as a whole, but I've not really seen a particular group pinpointed per se. I can't say that I've ever seen a disrespectful Asian child at DD's high school. I really can't say the same for any other ethnic group represented there.

If my mother had ever verbalized why she put me in a particular mostly white school system in Southern VA, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be chasing her with pitchforks.

Attended York County schools until 10th grade (2004), there were a few Asian bad apples I could remember right off the top of my head.
