Hello Everyone,
am looking for one bedroom apertment/basment that has a private kitchen. am a nursing student desperately i need of a place. am willing to pay between 550 to 850.. suggestion please. i dont mind the following place fairfax my first option or woodbridge

$550 will get you nothing in this area $600-$800 a room $800-$1000 a basement in a townhouse with no kitchen but maybe a private entrance you will have to be $1000(on the low end) to $1400 for a 1 bedroom around here.. try Craigslist.

You'll probably need to share a townhouse or single family house with roommates to have access to a kitchen in that price range.

You will have to look for a roommate situation for anything near those prices, or perhaps someone renting our a room in their home. Private kitchen very unlikely.

In DC express yesterday there was an ad for efficiencies in Southern Towers for $890 a month. Now ST ain't the ritz, but it IS elevator buildings with front desks, its not a slum, and its very conveniently located (if not exactly walkable urbanism or quaint).

I'm completely spoiled. I hear a price like that and think BedBugs! Lead Paint! Exposed Asbestos!.. I'm sure its fine-just my neurosis
