Somewhere in the Annandale, Falls Church (Bailey's Crossroads), or Alexandria (Mark Center/Seminary Rd.) area would work for me.

What kind of car? If Volvo or Saab, Swedish Import Service on Spring Street, just off Fairfax Circle.

Backlick Road Service Station in Annandale -- they are fabulous! We have friends that have moved out to Frederick, MD, and they still bring their vehicles (Toyotas) for service to them.

Smith's Auto Center on Little River Turnpike in Alexandria, across from Jerry's Ford (which is near the Salvation Army thrift store.
I've not had brakes done there, but I have had other stuff done. I found him to be honest in what I REALLY needed done versus stuff that could wait, and his prices were reasonable.
Several of my neighbors go there, too.
Closed on Fridays; no credit cards.
