So.. I am moving again

Since I am self employed I can live pretty much anywhere and do my job. I have a boyfriend in Leesburg and I have decided to move towards him from Charlotte NC. I don't want to live together, plus his place is a tad small for me and the critters.

I am looking for rental property within a hour drive. I think going more west or South of Leesburg??? I have dogs and cats and horses. My horses will not come with me immediately, as I will need to check out boarding, etc.

Also, since I want to save as much as possible to purchase in the future, I don't want to pay D.C area rental rates... Ideas???

Thanks

Ok. I'll ask first:
What do you consider "affordable"?

You might need to stay put and let him move near you. There is nothing affordable within an hour of Leesburg that I can think of....oh yea, maybe West Virginia??

Winchester is 40-45 minutes from Leesburg and it's cheap.

This makes no sense. It's obviously affordable to everyone who lives within an hour of Leesburg.

So, the question still to the OP is: What do you consider to be "affordable"?

You can probably get a SFH for under $1000 in and around Winchester or Front Royal.

EXACTLY!
To us Leesburg itself was "affordable" because McLean was not.
"Affordability" means different thing to different people.

You have Round Hill, Luckettes, Lovettesville, Aldie area, Manasas area Winchester, Charles town WVA, and probably some areas near Fredericksburg MD that are cheaper than Leesburg.

Lots of horse boading and horse land..Loudoun County is horse country!
