Yeah - if anyone has insider info on getting the Inn at Little Washington for $200/night - share the info!

Last I recall, the Inn was somewhere around $6-700/night. When we ate dinner there, we stayed at the Middleton Inn a few blocks away and that was still $3-400/night.

I am not sure what rate my husband ended up paying because I haven't received the credit card bill yet ...but they seem to love packages there and although the room may be $200 a night in the package, the dinner or whatever accompanies it will probably be at least that plus $100. So, although not terribly affordable it is a romantic location that is a nice getaway. I did read on some review site that they have military appreciation days but I think that they are limited to the restaurant. Which is still a good thing. I definitely think that dining at the Inn at Little Washington should be on everyone's bucket list for NOVA.

I definitely agree that it is a trip worth taking for everyone that's in the area, it's something quite special. Their restaurant is in my personal Top 3 for the DC area and very very good.

That being said - I think you're in for a bit of a shocker when you receive your credit card bill if you're thinking it's in the neighborhood of $200/nt! Dinner is in the range of $450-600 with tip, depending on if you get a bottle of wine or not. Rooms are typically $600+/night at the Inn as well. While most Inns will offer package deals of some type, I don't think Inn at Little Washington will have a package discounted by that much.

As another alternate country inn to try, L'Auberge Provencale also has a very nice B&B and restaurant that could fit closer to your budget; I proposed to my wife there actually. You might also consider visiting several of the wineries in the area as a day activity, regardless of where you end up going to.
