Anyone going to the dedication? Also, why did they decide to dedicate a memorial to a man who was pastor during Sunday church hours? That just seems weird. Couldn't they have held it in the afternoon?

I considered going, but I'm highly crowd-averse, so I'll probably just participate vicariously through an acquaintance of mine who's going.

Caladium, you do raise a good point about the ironic timing of the unveiling.

I definitely plan to go sometime in September as I think from the moment I would get on the Metro on the day of the opening, it will be too darn crowded. I figure that, just like with most sporting events IMO, the best seat in the house will be in front of the television where I figure the dedication will be shown live.
