Anyone know any Hawaiian / Polyneasian restaurants in NoVa? I've been hear almost five years and I've never seen one.

I heard there is one in Crofton, MD, but I was wondering if there are any which are a bit closer?

There's Mahalo Cove, the Hawaiian themed place in Cascades Marketplace (I'm not sure how much fo the food is actally Hawaiian--I'd call first. When I googled Hawaiian food, I found Island Delica-Seas in Fredericksburg, and Sunflower Vegetarian Restaurant in Vienna. There's also a place I think called Hula Cafe in Falls Church (I think that's the name, it's next to the State Theater),

I'm surprised that the Sunflower Vegetarian Restaurant in Vienna would be considered Hawaiian. I have been there in the past and didn't see anything Hawaiian on the menu but maybe they have changed it since then. I wasn't really impressed with the food (maybe b/c I am not a vegetarian and I thought the meatless choices did not taste very good). I will not be returning.

I would like to hear reviews for the Mahala Cafe. I drive by it on my way to Home Depot in Cascades Marketplace, and it looks like people are having fun. Is the food good? Is it Hawaiian?

I believe that Filipino falls under the category of Polynesian, and there's a Filipino restaurant in Falls Church called Karaoke Idol. The top floor of the building (street level) is a restaurant and the basement level is a karaoke bar. I've never eaten there, however, so I can't vouch for the food.
