Does anybody have experience with MM/PI lawyers around here?

I'm thinking of calling around on behalf of my mother, who is now suffering from chronic arthritis in her knee after a routine test at Johns Hopkins a couple years ago. At this point, I'm not even sure what the statute of limitations for these kinds of lawsuits are in Maryland, but I figured we'd give it a try.

I also don't know if I'm supposed to hire a Maryland lawyer or a VA lawyer, or if it matters at all.

If you have any lawyers you'd recommend, especially if you've filed a similar lawsuit before, I'd appreciate any and all information you might have (process, reasonable fee range, etc)

Many thanks!
