Default Anyone dressing up for Halloween in their workplace?

Just seeing if any others are dressing up, even if a little bit, for work! We had a costume contest today, it was really fun to see all the costumes. It alleviated a lot of stress and we all get a chance to mingle a bit, and have fun trying out some disguises.

However if you are not dressing up for work, are you going undercover for any parties or gatherings in NoVA? Let's hear about it

Personally I am a female Green Lantern today, complete with power battery, GL earrings, light-up ring, green face mask, gloves, and full body GL costume with green go-go boots. I feel like i could wear this same outfit on St. Patty's day and replace the Lantern symbol with a shamrock and no one would know it's the same disguise!

I made a small-scale Swiper the Fox costume. Unfortunately, I had to rely on my own skills, so I have a blue do-rag, a blue mask on top of that, cat ears (I would've thought they'd have fox ears in the costume store), and blue gloves.

I have my Washington monument costume. Not sure if I'll wear it to work, though. It's not the easiest thing to sit down in.

I teach, and there is a strict "no costumes at school" policy, so nope, don't get to join in the festivities.

I have a party to go to tomorrow night if I'm feeling better. Whatever costume I come up with will be WARM as the plan is to bar hop in Dupont.

Wow, really?

Even the normally humorless Transportation Dept allows bus drivers to dress up (with the obvious proviso that vision and hearing is not impaired).

Same here. Well, my school has never said "no costumes" that I know of, but I've never known anybody to wear any either, unless it is for the (lame) "dress up as your favorite book character" day. My local elementary sent out a "Keep in Touch" email letting families know that per FCPS policy, Halloween will not be celebrated on Monday and that no costumes will be allowed, but some classrooms may have a "fall snack".

Yes, I always enjoy the "Fall parties" that just happen to coincide with October 31st.

I think when I was in high school, some of the teachers would dress normally but would bring a scary mask and put it on right when class started, then they'd take it off after everyone was afraid and/or wondering who it was. My dad is a teacher at that same high school, and now they aren't allowed to do anything but maybe wear a Halloween or fall inspired tie (for men) or scarf, earrings, necklace (for the women teachers).
Both major jobs that I've had, we all had fun dressing up in the office, but yeah you just couldn't obscure your vision or hearing.

My granddaughter's school had a 'Pumpkin Party'. No mention of Halloween.
