Hey Louisville is a desirable place....to some. I moved out there mainly because my mother was out there for job. I had good times there and met great people there and had a lot I liked about the city but the jobs suck out there.

I'm surprised at all the Louisville topics that get created in the NOVA forum... There seems to be some weird link between there and here.

I just moved away from Louisville for the first time to start a new job here in NOVA. It's the adventurous part of me that took over my safe side and I decided to do it.

Both places are just very different but also a lot alike. I would say a move from Louisville to San Francisco would be a MUCH different experience. I haven't regretted the move but I just haven't found my place here in Ashburn yet. I have no idea how to make friends because my personality is different than most. I had the same problem in Louisville though. I just had family that made up some of the difference.

I want to try Texas as some point in my life.

The link may have been me.

I would definitely try meetup and see if they have any groups closeby. My regular friends have been busy so I joined one meetup group and let's just say I have not had an empty weekend since. The only things I really miss from Louisville so far are Indi's and Derby Time.

Welcome back!

I am part of the group who left NoVA (for two years) and came back too (but went further west!). My closest friends are here, my job is great, and I love the landscape. Lots to criticize here but plenty to enjoy too!
