When I go down to that area, I usually end up at IHOP, Chick-Fil-A or over at the Wegman's Chinese bar (not really venturesome into Thai, etc., territory). Don't care anymore for anything in the food court at Potomac Mills, and Silver Diner bores me lately.

Any suggestions for a good lunch spot there? I admit I don't venture far from the main shopping streets ...

Good, fresh salads would be a start, tasty sandwiches ...

Zoe's Kitchen, Brixx, Guapo's or El Pollo Rico.

How about kabobs? Al Zaytoun Kabob and Grill That's my new favorite spot and they do have salads on the menu. The family running it are really nice.

I'll second Zoe's Kitchen, but it's a little "Americanized" for my tastes. I usually like more exciting flavors and their menu is watered down "Mediterranean food" IMO.

If you like Italian, Carrabas is a much nicer chain than Olive Garden or Romanos.

I love Carrabas -- but they don't do lunch! Drats! (Unless its website is incorrect?)

I agree with you on that; however, it's still not bad food and the inside isn't bad. I do notice that the food seems very plain yet extremely "healthy" if that makes sense. Not a lot of sodium/salt, fat in most of the dishes.

Ya I checked their website and I guess they don't do lunch during the weekdays. I live not too far from the one in Woodbridge so I've been there for lunch on the weekends, but didn't know they were only open for dinner on the weekdays. Bummer.

Same owners as Outback and they are the same. Lunch only on weekends.

I love the soup, salad and breadsticks lunch at Olive Garden. I second Guapo's - one of my favorite places but probably not the healthiest (with the exception of the salad). I also like sandwiches from Tropical Smoothie.

El Charro, Armetta's, Siam Bistro, Jengko, East Moon Asia Bistro and Global Foods (Korean and Sushi counter) all have great lunch.
