Default Snow Tubing near NoVA

Hi.. can anyone suggest a good place for snow tubing that is close to NoVA? From my research the closest one seems to be Bryce Resort near Shenandoah , about a 2 hr drive. I was just wondering if there is anything closer that one of you could recommend? Thanks for your time!

Round Top, too, is about 1hr to 1.5 hrs depending on where you are. About the same as Liberty and White Tail.

I went to White Tail and it was great. I don't know how to ski and found this to be a fun alternative.

Wintergreen also probably has it. Whitetail is a better resort for skiing/snowboarding, though. (If you go there, *watch your speed* around Hagerstown, because it's a notorious speed trap!)

You might call first to see if tubing is open. Liberty sent notice last week that although they are open for skiing, tubing is not yet available.

Massanutten isn't a good place to go tubing because they have limited spots and only allow resort guests to buy tickets in advance (it is a massive hotel, timeshare, rental homes, and year round residence complex). So if you are going on a weekend day trip, there is a fair chance that tubing will be sold out by the time you get there.

That sucks to drive 2.5 hours and find out you can't tube.

They have decent tubing in Wisp too, it is in the panhandle of western MD (about 2 to 2.5 hours), but Liberty, Roundtop, and Whitetail are closer if their tubing is open.
