How would they know? Not all voters have decided before they step into the voting booth. The parties wouldn't do it if it didn't work. This smug "oh we're so much smarter than that" attitude on here reminds me of all the people who claim they're not swayed by negative campaign ads. Believe me, you and they are. People are more suggestible than you think.

I admire the people who get off their lazy, complacent butts and go out and work for their political beliefs as well as those not too timid to let others know what they are.

I see those people hanging out in front of the polling location similar to telemarketers. Very annoying, but obviously they do get to some suckers, or else they wouldn't be doing it.

Rather than being annoyed, why not have a pleasant conversation with them? Maybe even thank them for their willingness to participate in the political process. They won't bite and they're probably your neighbors.

Probably for the same reason I don't have a pleasant conversation with telemarketers. But I guess everyone is different.

If he does, I'd definitely put his sign in my yard!

Amen! Colbert is, I've read, one of the few entertainers or political commentators (for lack of a better term) who is almost equally beloved by people on both sides of the political spectrum.

A lot of us can remember when the panda cub Tai-Shan was born in DC almost 10 years ago. I got so tired of hearing about the panda on every local-news broadcast. Panda this, panda that. I went online and had a bumper sticker made, which I proudly displayed on my car: EAT THE PANDA.

Never did I get so many thumbs-ups from other drivers (always other guys, go figure) and even enthusiastic commentary out the window.

(For the record, I am not for eating pandas. Only koalas.)

I'm not revealing my candidate, but I will say this. If you want to get under the skin of K Street lobbyists and bureaucrats and become the "Beltway's Most Wanted," get a Ron Paul sticker and sign for your car and front yard.

I am glad they are there, because oftentimes I am not decided about the "lesser" (more obscure) candidates or the bond issues, and the flyers help me make up miy mind one way or the other.

Never heard of this person. What TV show is this? Not that I really watch any of the junk that passes for TV these days so I wouldn't recognize it.
