And people think feds are overpaid. Wow. It takes a good 10 years to hit that level as a fed, unless one is a doctor or lawyer or comes in mid-career.

Out of curiosity, how many hours do analyst and sr. analyst make working for the places you mention? The salary sounds good with the bonus which I'm sure goes up to 15-25k at best.

Hubby was originally hired by the FBI. After getting tired of the commute and watching TV all day at work and not being able to do any real intel work and that leads to no promotion, he looked for employment elsewhere. So he's a contractor now, but the pay and benefits are way better.

Which numbers on this thread are you talking about? I'd be very surprised if intel analysts as a whole are earning more than financial analysts. I'm not saying it can't be true, but I'd like to see the kinds of numbers we're talking about. I hope it is true, because I'm qualified to be a pretty senior intelligence analyst but not a financial analyst.
