So I am taking the day off tomorrow to spend some time with the kids during their time off. I was looking for some idea of things to do with them. Wondering if anyone has some neat ideas. I have taken them to the movies and the only other thing I could think of was one of those bounce places. Thanks

Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful. 60 degrees and sunny. I would take advantage of this beautiful weather and definitely do some outdoor activities.

Take them to the park or playground and have a picnic lunch. If you and the kiddos are up for it, take a trip into DC to the National Zoo.

Going downtown is always fun however it is to be remembered that this is NOT a holiday, but a regular workday for most folks - trying to park and take the Metro, or just to drive downtown, could be a royal pain.

Actually, if I'm going to go downtown, or anywhere in DC, as a tourist (usually do it when my dad is in town), we prefer going on a regular workday. Less tourists in general and I actually find it easier to get around. Now, going into DC on a holiday, to me, is worse because EVERYONE is usually going into DC!

I guess my answer was fairly strongly biased by my standard way to get downtown - Metro - I've driven down there for fun maybe a couple times in the 40 years I've been driving (used to drive there for work, but that's another discussion).

With Metro, however, a parking space after The Rush is hard to find. And doing anything DURING The Rush is not going to be a highly enjoyable experience, IMHO.
