Hello, just messing around here to see if there are any others with the Homebrewing Hobby in the Front Royal-Winchester area. I know to the east there are clubs and more stores and the like, but wanted to see if there was anyone local.

Thanks,

I think they're not replying because they're all a few beers into their Friday afternoon already.

Hey, hope you find some other brewers! I used to brew maybe 15 years ago and have often thought of getting back into it. Fun, cheap way to try different kinds of beer. I'll need to buy equipment again, though.

Cool Carlingtonian, I've been messing around with it for a year and just now starting to get into it and branching out of straight extract brewing and getting the equipment that comes with it.

If you get back into it, let me know.

You might look through the meetup groups and see if you find any. Good luck! Sounds like a fun hobby.

Union Jack Pub & Restaurant has dozens of beers from around the world but they also have events, activities, happy hours, etc. Start here, sign up for their newsletter, and see if they know of any groups or individuals who are home brewers: Union Jack Restaurant and Pub

Also, have you been to the historic downtown walking mall pubs in Winchester? The other two major ones, Brewbakers ( Welcome to Brewbakers Restaurant) and Piccadilly Brew Pub (Piccadilly's Brew Pub & Restaurant) may probably also have contacts.

The walking mall also has indie shops including coffee shops, a book store, wine shop, galleries, cafes, etc. These shops also have events which could give you more leads. For example, last month The Espresso Bar and Cafe hosted its first "Latte Art Competition" for "coffee lovers" and "artsy baristas". I happened to be there reading when it began and the place was packed. All of these places have events and activities as well as bands, performances, etc.

Good luck and hope you find some kindred spirits!

LOL, Ale bet that pun was brewing all morning.

Hey, speaking about puns, do you have a crafty name for your home brew?
