Still coming down steady (I know, it's only been 30 minutes ).

Maybe it's only on the west side of things . . . you guys on "the other side of the mountain" may be spared?

It's sticking right now though -- only on the lawn and shrubs. But it's hardly anything right now.

There is an old southern rule of thumb that has always seemed to be true. If you hear thunder in winter, it will snow within 10 days.

We have flurries in Alexandria right now.

I heard the Western/Southern areas are supposed to get about 2 inches. Closer in to the metro area we are only supposed to get flurries.

Good to know! I should have looked at the moon last night. If there's a ring around the moon, rain or snow follows the next day.

As well as the cows-- if cows are sitting down, usually it's about to rain or snow.
