Default Moving in June - Pentagon/Andrews...where to live?

Good morning! This is a follow-up to an earlier post in which I thought both the wife and I would be assigned to the Pentagon. Turns out, she'll be there but I'll be assigned to Andrews.

We were looking at North Arlington... is this still possible?? Or would the commute be too brutal? If not recommended, where would you advise to look for housing? Priorities are schools (15, 10 yr-old), convient location (commute-times & walking access to shops, etc).

Housing Budget - up to $3200.

Appreciate the feedback.

Hmm, I know my now-husband was able to commute to Andrews from the King Street exit on 395 without too much trouble, and that was before the new bridge.

North Arlington wouldn't be the most convenient, but I think it is probably most preferable for schools.

For ease of commute, I'd pick a place either on the metro or VRE lines. I was thinking end of the line for yellow and blue lines. I don't know which high schools any of those areas track to, sorry.

Arlington might not be the best for a commute to Andrews, but it's doable once you learn the lay of the land.
