I searched the old listings here and came across camps at Loudoun Country School and GMU.
Saw a few being run by Parktakes.

I have a 5 year old that I would like to send to half a day camps.

Is there something in the Fairfax/Fairoaks area that you would recommend? Fine arts, Swimming, Activities etc something that is fun for preschoolers...

Thanks in advance!

A lot of people seem to go to the camp at Frying Pan Park - it's probably in Parktakes, so you may have seen it.

George Mason has a bunch of camp options for that age group. My 6 yo is doing the Acting for Young People camp there.

Many malls have summer camp fairs with representatives of the camps present for parents to talk to. I'm sure there is (or was) one at Fair Oaks mall.

I did find information about Camp Fair at Fairoaks mall that was held back in Jan. Good part is they have published the exhibitors listing which gives a fairly good list of camps in this area:

we went to that camp fair. Got a good deal on a sports camp at nZone in Chantilly because of it.

Most camps are geared towards kids already in school. But for what you are looking for, I would highly suggest the County Parks and Rec department. You might also want to consider Reston (through their association) and Herndon (through their community center).

Actually, depending on what you are willing to spend, there were some cool camp opportunities at some places on that exhibitor list. I ruled them out because I need all day camp for my child, but definitely peruse the list and see if anything strikes your fancy. That Ideaventions place seemed pretty cool - just pricey.
