Default Dunn-Loring/Merrifield Metro Station chaos

Has anyone tried to use the "Kiss and ride" area to drop offs or pick ups?

Why does it suck so much, It is this tiny sliver of pavement with parking spots disrupting the natural flow of cars just trying to pass through for a quick pick up and constantly get backed up due to taxi's and shuttles trying to back into these spots.

Do they make this suck so much on purpose so people get fed up and pay the 4.50 to drive? Why punish people for trying to save money use greener solutions like the Metro?

Is anyone else fed up with this nonsense?

we've used it including quite recently. Its more difficult because a new apartment building is under construction there. I believe a new, better kiss n ride will be there when construction is finished.

We have not found it that difficult - sometimes you need to wait, and for pick up it's best to go into one of the spots and wait (cell phones make this whole activity much easier than it was in the good old days)

The West Falls Church station's layout is much better. There's a divider that separates temporary parking from pickups. I hope the new design will be similar to this.

I agree, the Dunn Loring station is a mess right now. I used to live across the street, and luckily I moved out right before the construction began. In general, the whole Gallows/Merrifield corridor, from Dunn Loring to Arlington Boulevard, is a huge mess.

However, I do believe it will be a lot better once its all said. I've always found Merrifield to be an intriguing place.
