Chick-Fil-A fans: there appears to be a Chick-Fil-A coming to Fair Lakes where the Malibu Steak House is or used to be!

We were at the Taco Bell next door and noticed the sign outside as we were leaving for a public hearing regarding Chick-Fil-A coming to that location.

We love Chick-Fil-A and hope this happens so we don't have to go inside Fair Oaks mall or to the Dulles Expo center!

Love the thought of that and I could see it doing very well there. I'm guessing that would mean tear down and rebuild. Never could see how the former restaurant ever stayed in business especially after a similar, better one opened at the mall.

Similar? Yes
Better? Yes
Twice as expensive? Also, yes

Exactly. I never really understood the name and how anyone would think it was a Brazilian-style steak house. It apparently went under different managment some time ago because there seems to be either Chinese or Japanese characters next to the name. After seeing that, I was really shaking my head .

Yeah, they tried serving a mix of Brazilian steak house and Chinese food, IIRC. The one at Bailey's was nice, though. I also agree with spencgr, the one in Fair Oaks was 2x as expensive, I've never been there!

I have never understood the excitement over Chick-Fil-A. I've been a couple of times. Chicken, bun, pickles. People have had the same excitement over one opening here in Springfield.

I used to love Chick-Fil-A then I found out they do some stuff I dont particularly appreciate. Those chicken minis are great, but they bring way too much southern baggage for my liking.

The kids like it. I like their customer service and cleanliness--hard to find in a fast food place (not that we eat fast food often).

Same here...what's the big deal?

I've never actually set foot in a Chick-Fil-A, but they apparently have a deal with FCPS....those chicken sammiches are sold at every high school sporting event I have ever been to, and that's many, many, many. I usually bring my own munchies on the bus but sometimes the assigned bus breaks down or doesn't show up and I get called to do the trip with no advance notice.

I don't eat hot dogs or pizza, so if I find myself starving at a night game...Chick-Fil-A is the only option.

IMO, they're okay, but I wouldn't go out of my way for one....but maybe they're better if they haven't been sitting in Coleman cooler for a few hours? LOL
