Or a disgruntled USPS employee.

Yeah, ladies love a man with a farmer tan and polyester shorts. I always hoped for this kind of event when I was carrying the mail part time, but alas, it never happened. I did get some unabashed female attention when I delivered to the group mailboxes at the old folks' home. Then again, all the old people watching me fill the boxes, 'cause they had nothing else to do.

(How on earth did you spell "rendezvous" correctly but misspell "contributor" in your screen name?)

Once again, I'm amazed at the random first time posts that sometimes appear. Obviously not a troll....just someone who felt the need to register for an internet forum to make sure people know she is not happy that her mail arrives betwen 12 and 3!

About the same. It does seem strange.

I live a few blocks away from the post office... and it seems the delivery times are random. I guess either we're the first place they deliver or the last.

I've gotten deliveries in the morning around 10am and also around 5pm in the evening...

Our letter carrier comes around 11 every day. My husband is a letter carrier and he's delivered as late as 9 PM. It gets worse this time of year.
