Default Pizza Hut/KFC/Taco Bell at Tysons Corner Center closed

I just found out on Tuesday. I thought a chain fast-food place in a busy mall like Tysons was a license to print money.

Anyone know why they closed?

Just wondering, here in Louisville there was one store that moved from inside a popular mall to an adjacent strip mall. Apparently mall rent is not cheap. Also there was a lot of competition for food court money in Tysons last time I was there.

I know when my family go to Tysons the last place we eat is Taco bell, KFC , and Pizza Hut, come to think of it I never knew they were there. The rent there is sky high I'm not surprised they shut down!

It was in a dark corner. Can't say I'm surprised. I am there all the time with the kids and it never occurred to us to eat there

I ate there one time on accident while doing some training across Chain Bridge Rd. It was the closest eatery to where I parked.

I think it may have done better in the food court. However, they probably take up too much space there

I feel sorry for the people that lost their jobs, but I was never crazy about those places. I prefer Papa Johns and Popeye's, and I'm not that all crazy about Mexican food in the first place

1) Taco bell brings in a significant amount of revenue after hours (10pm-3am). The mall isn't open then.

2) People have a lot of options when it comes to Mexican food now: Chipotle, Qdoba, Baja Fresh.

3) There is a high % of middle eastern customers at Tysons, who probably don't want to eat crappy tacos or crappy beef.

4) It's an upscale mall. People with money want quality food.

5) Why go to Pizza Hut when you can go to Lucianos and Sbarro?

6) Chick-Fil-A owned KFC. People know good fried chicken now.

The list can go on and on...

Probably related because they're a Christian company and don't work Sundays.
