I lived in Fairfax and had the high speed Cox service. It was fine, but FIOS was WAY better, much faster, and totally reliable. It was also much cheaper. I had bundled service with both, one DVR recorder with both, high speed internet, and land line phone line with all the options, free long distance, voice mail, and caller ID, etc. I had NO charges for converting to FIOS, and I saved over $50 a month. In 6 months, it NEVER went down. The FIOS installers and phone help were fabulous. I was sick when I moved and could no longer get FIOS.

Verizon has the highest rated customer service and I can see why. They are fabulous.

Communications companies are funny.

I've had Comcast forever and really liked the company. Never had a problem. I guess I just got use to the service.

Then I switched to Cox. Absolutely horrible. Poorly ran business. Setup was a pain in the ass. Lots of clutter and misleading communication.

Someone will the say the exact reverse though.
