I live in 22193, 2500 sq ft home:

Electricity: Just paid my May/June bill: $192.00 NOVEC
Gas: Summertime around $40.00. Wintertime around $200-$350 depending on how cold it is. WASHINGTON GAS
Water - $125-$170 per quarter. VIRGINIA AMERICAN WATER
Water/Sewage - $110 per quarter DALE SERVICE CORP. (Biggest drawback to living in 22193)
Trash - Through my HOA so I have no idea. HOA is $75 per quarter.

1.Electricity - Dominion
2.Gas - Washington Gas
3.Water - Prince William County Service Authority
4.Cable - Comcast/Verizon
5.Trash pick up - AAA/American Disposal/Charlie and Sons

As far as cost, well it all depends on usage.

I live in Lake Ridge - 22192. Two people in a 1800 sq. ft., 3 level townhouse.

1.Electricity
2.Gas

I'll average these two together and say $200 a month. My electric bill is higher than my gas bill in the summer due to running the AC and my gas bill is higher than my electric bill in the winter because I have a gas furnace, gas water heater & oven/stove. We like it cool in the summer and warm in the winter so this is not being conservative on the thermostat.

3.Water/Sewage - $45 (this includes watering my flowers and postage stamp sized yard every other day)

4.Cable - We have DirecTV. Our internet service is through Comcast and that costs $40 - $80. Starting at $40 because we first had a new customer promotional period. When that period ended and our bill went up to $80 a month, we renegotiated for $40 for a few more months but I suspect that is coming to an end soon and our bill will be back up to $80. Verizon Fios is available in our neighborhood but the price for internet only is about the same.

5.Trash pick up - Included in our HOA fee which is roughly $170 a quarter.

Really drawback for me too. I just got the house in 22193. $110 is a lot of money. I could do a lot with that money.

Thank you for all the answers.
