Does PWC have it's own ecosystem causing it's own special weather pattern? It's going to be hot all over on the east coast so I don't think are sudden heat wave is that big of a deal. We've had a pretty nice and long spring so it's about time that we get some heat.

Plus the Weather Channel -- like every other media outlet in existence -- seems compelled to sensationalize any- and everything that they can get their hands on. There ought to be a BS Advisory in effect that urgently warns against the lot of them and every single word they say.

It's summer...it's hot! And in this area, it's humid, as well. You get used to it!

Well, to be fair, we did set a record high today, so this is not normal heat.

You should be more worried about her lack of common sense. It is hot all over the East Coast, not just PWC

The "normal" high for the date is 86 degrees, so we were 12 degrees above that. The question is how abnormal is it for temperatures to be 12 degrees above normal.

Geesh. Was this supposed to be helpful? No need to insult someone you don't know. We aren't on the East Coast now. You don't know what other areas we're considering. You made assumptions in your retort that aren't true.

Just do your research and include her next time. I am not insulting you or her, you that took it the wrong way, this is the interweb.

the smilie at the end makes it non-insulting. It's like adding "I don't mean that in a bad way" to something
