I've seen some private mini buses/vans (usually small ones that can sit 10-12 people, kind of the size of a Super Shuttle bus) catered towards business executives in big metropolitan cities. Does anyone know if there's a similar service that runs throughout northern VA, specially between Fairfax to Loudon counties??

Never heard of that. Not sure what "business executive" means, but around here, you'll have GS-15s and SES people riding the regular WMATA buses with everyone else. (Cabinet secretaries get a driver.) I suspect actual CEOs either drive themselves or have company-paid drivers.

There are commuter buses, if you google; they're open to and are used by everyone.

(BTW, it's "Loudoun.")

Sounds silly to me--how would it be different from a regular bus?

There are businesses in Old Town Alexandria - close to the waterfront I believe - that contract out with Chariots for Hire to take their employees to and from the Braddock Road Metro station. AFAICT, the riders aren't necessarily just executive level.

I remember something in NY called the Hampton Jitney "Ambassador Coach" which was a regular sized bus but outfitted with fewer seats and more comfortable ride almost like a first class seat on a plane with a steward, beverages and individual outlets.
Is that what you are referring to?

NEWVADAD, that's what I'm referring to! I'm not local so maybe my description sounds a little off. In Asia we are used to addressing working professionals as 'business executives'.....The executive part wasn't meant to sound like a class level but rather my habit of describing an individual working in a corporate environment.

I don't think they have that here. There are services, as others have mentioned but nothing like the Jitney Ambassador Coach. The longer commutes are usually about 60 to 90 minutes and I'm not sure it's profitable to have a "first class" type of service just yet.
