I'm kinda annoyed at these people who call this a 'catastrophe', it's bad, but it's not a friggin catastrophe. Hurricane Katrina was a catastrophe, the earthquake in Japan was a catastrophe

Aren't there laws about profiteering? Especially since we were in a "state of emergency"

I had written a paragraph on this as well as gas stations gouging. Then, just as I wrote "I hope those still w/o power get it back soon" - our power went out, LMAO

Why? It plays right away for me and lasts about 17 seconds. I got it from Capital Weather Gang. Is it slow for anyone else?

I had no electricity for like 10 mins then everything was just fine but Burke got hit hard. I was trying to fill up gas there and both gas stations I went to were just packed with lines of cars trying to fill up.

The only articles that I have read that were referring to it being a "catastrophe" was dealing with the 911 lines being down. I don't read every paper or news report on the internet so I could very well be wrong. 911 lines being down is indeed a serious problem. They were telling people two days ago if you had a medical emergency to not even call 911 but to get to the nearest fire station or hospital.

And I jinxed myself by posting earlier in this thread... my power went out three times in the last five minutes.
