Can someone explain to me why striping a new line of paint on the beltway heading east at and just before Eisenhower has got traffic backed up every morning now for a week? What exactly is going on with this new traffic pattern? I'm hoping this new pattern is only temporary because it's become a bigger bottleneck than it was.

The Beltway is Eisenhower's fault....after all, the Interstate Highway system was his idea...

If its anything like what they did on the toll road near Wheil heading west, folks probably can't tell what is the right and wrong lane to be in. They re-stripped about 400 feet on the toll road, but the shiny black cover paint used for the old stripes, shine in the sunlight making them look like white strips. It's dangerous!!

New signs went up attempting to separate local from express lanes for those approaching the Wilson Bridge. No new lanes that I can see but a new dashed paint line causing everyone to jocky about thinking they're in the wrong lane. There are only four lanes, two appear to be the beltway, (actually 3) two appear to be Eisenhower's exit but in reality only one lane exits. Confusing for some who are not familiar with the area.

I've found if I try to find an explanation for all the crazy sh*t people do around here, I'll just go insane, so I just accept it and find ways around it
