Default Sunrise valley safety

How safe is the area off sunrise valley between wiehle and hunter mill road? We are relocating and looking at a place that is in that location and just wanted to double check. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm. Sort of South Lakes-ish Even if you looked for trouble, you'd have a hard time finding it there.

I agree with Saganista - this is a very safe neighborhood. I live about 1.5 miles so know the area well. I also have friends who live in the Barton Hill area (just off Sunrise Valley between Wiehle and Hunter Mill who love the area and have lived there for about 20 years. Many also consider the Sunrise Valley School one of the best elementary schools in Reston.

That stretch consists of solid middle class neighborhoods as safe as any place in Reston.
