I can't really rent a room. I got too much stuff. I also have high standards of cleanliness. I make neat freaks look messy and the most meticulous look the most careless. I will know more next week. I will patrol the area and find where it is best to go.

You may want to look at renting a private condo which can be found on homesdatabase.com. Usually you get a better value than you would at most complexes at the same price. I'd search 22306, 22309, and 22315 for zip codes which will allow a short(er) commute to Belvoir.

Awesome tip. I didn't consider renting a condo. I think the only downside is the maintenance issue? I see the places are bigger than a regular apartment. I may look into some of these next week too. Thanks. I rented a townhouse in college at Virginia Tech for $275/month I think. Those were the days... It was 3 levels too and pretty big. Don't get startled by price. The townhouse had:

-3 people including me to split costs
-I personally had a squirrel dig its way into my bedroom through the side wall
-Toilet ran constantly
-Mold problem in kitchen after someone left cooked rice in the rice cooker for over a year and I opened the lid one day and went
-Lots of bugs on bottom floor

And we were college kids LOL.

I was going to go there next. I'm seeing 2 bedroom units on military by owner going for 1700 and 1750 in Kingstowne. Check MBO using the zips above.
