there's plenty here who have an opinion, just not sure what you're asking.

Nice area In my opinion, relatively easy commute compared to other areas that are similar (i.e. not as far out west, no need to use the toll road to get here). Good schools etc. Pricy. It's right on the FFX/Loudoun border. Lots of nature preserve close by (potomac river, golf course, walking trails), close to Dulles Towne Center Mall etc.

Just out of curiosity: Why do they call it Lowe's Island?

I know that real estate development names often bear little relationship to reality, but this seems extreme.

It is an island on the potomac, though the south side is a very small tributary.

I was just looking at Google maps, and it is indeed surrounded by water. It might be stretching the definition a little, but it clearly isn't just a figment of some developer's imagination. Thanks for enlightening me!

I donno the history, but maybe some of the surrounding area was land-filled years ago and made it less of an island.

Schools, HOA, lifestyle, amenities, shopping, etc. are all subjects I'm interested in.

Is there a summer concert series through the HOA?

I've read the other threads, however I'm still interested in newer or in some cases more detailed info.

General opinions of the area as provided in this thread have been helpful.
