I've been gone for a while and was wondering what's happening with the road construction on RT 28 in Manassas Park at Manassas Dr? The last two times I came home at 3:30 PM inbound (S/B) traffic on 28 was worse than normal as they had it down to one lane near Old Centreville Rd. Are they still doing this or are both S/B lanes now back open? I'll gladly go out of my way on 66 to Exit 44 to bypass all this.

That whole area is a mess. It looks like the construction that was done was to extend the left hand turn lane onto Manassas drive. It is complete now, but I am on the way home 28S around the same time and I cannot tell a difference. That stretch still backs up pretty bad because of the lights from Liberia up to 234.

I would give it another shot, from what I can tell minus a few cones the major work is complete.

Sounds good. Thanks. If you weren't here back in the 70's and 80's you should have seen the back ups when 28 was just two lanes all the way through Manassas and beyond.
