I think I have to agree with Nitrovic... I grew up in Independent Hill and my father was a PWC police officer. Dumfries/Triangle has always been considered the "bad" part of PWC. It was the one part of the county I was forbidden to venture into, as my father was fully aware of all the unsavory events happening around the area.
I moved out of NoVA 2 years ago and though I'm sure there are nicer sections now, as with all ares like this, I find it hard to believe that Dumfries/Triangle as a whole is a "lovely" place to live...

Thank You
For reminding me why I don't want to live in Virginia anymore. Snobby-know-it-alls abound, so it seems...the born & raised "Southerners" seem to be the worst. You local folk who are "from here" are the most obnoxious and rude people I have yet to encounter.
All this nastiness and posting police blotters and going ON & ON & ON about how horrible it is in Triangle/Dumfries. GET OFF IT already. Your mission of scaring potential upstanding residents away could have be accomplished with far less nastiness and offense to those of us who live in the "armpit" you refer to as Triangle. Tact & diplimacy are obviously not important to y'all.
Oh, and just a little FYI, Dumfries and Montclair are one in the same.... DUH..... same town, same zip.

Wrong again, Montclair has a different zip and is not in the town. They are in the county (and they are a couple miles from the town, really not that close.) Our "mission" is telling people the truth as they inquire about certain areas. I would be more than a little upset if i wanted to move my family to an area and got bad information about crime and public safety. Like i said before to the original poster, drive through any neighborhood off of Graham Park Rd. (the heart of Dumfries) and see the show. The only positive i see in that area is that the crack cocaine is cheap, so i guess if your a crackhead then it's a great place.....

We have lived near Triangle Elementary for 2 years in Thomassons Crossing and have never had any problems with crime. We are sending our son to the public school in the fall and plan to be involved. Alot of big new houses are being built and changing the demographic of this area. Its also right next to the Marine base. I would feel confident in buying in this area.

I read stuff about what it looks like to mention "Montclair" in the articles. Who gives a dag (nicely put). What should matter is remembering the loved one that was taken from us. She and her unborn child will always be remembered. He has to face is maker someday.

What? I'm confused. Maybe I missed something, but who and what are you talking about?
