Hi everyone! Im planning to move to East Falls Church (N Washington Blvd & 25th St N -22213) and I was hoping somebody could give me details about the neighborhood or pictures to help me know what to expect.
Thanks a lot

I'm not familiar with the specific streets (well, I know Washington, but not where it intersects with 25th, at least not from memory), but the general character of the area around East Falls Church is residential. It's high-ish density with older brick single family homes, many brick apartment complexes and tiny little strip malls set to the side. It's a very low-key area and there's nothing particularly distinguishable about it (not that that's necessarily a bad thing). It's a safe area and in a good location as far as commutes go as you've got good highway access (although traffic sucks just like it does everywhere around here) and more importantly, a Metro station which can zip you around to Arlington, DC and Alexandria.

I used to live in the Falls Station complex in that area. I really liked it. There isn't that much you can walk to (other than La Cote d'Or - a fantastic French restuarant), but the area is very safe and the metro is so close. And the bike trail runs right through there. That was a huge plus in my book.

Traffic can be tough, but manageable once you learn to use the backroads and avoid 66 during rush hour (when it may be HOV-only anyway). All in all, a great residential area in a nice location. I miss living there sometimes. It was great for a single person w/ no kids.

You can walk to old-town Falls Church City (Broad Street) from there, which has some nice restaurants, and some shops. There's a great farmers market there on weekends and you're also not far from some other big shopping areas like Seven Corners and Tysons Corner...

Default East Falls Church, Falls Station

Has anyone lived in Falls Station in Falls Church, VA? We looked at a few condos there and they all seemed to have a lot of bird **** on the verandas. Are birds an issue? Any other things that people disliked about living there?

Thanks!!
